Making Your Baby’s Keepsake is Fun & Easy!

Step 1: Remove the clay from its packaging, and knead for 3 to 5 minutes until it is soft. Insert the soft clay into the large section of the frame, and use a mug to create a smooth and flat surface.

Step 2: Press your baby’s hand and foot into the clay to make a hand and footprint. Applying a small amount of baby skin cream can help. Please allow 48 hours for the clay to fully dry.

Step 3: Prepare two small pictures (2.75 inches x 2.75 inches) and stick the pictures on top of the frame using the double-sided tape included in the kit. Remove the film from the acrylic glass.

    Works for dogs too!
This looks really good to show off my dog’s paw prints! I have 2 boxers and was able to fit both paw prints in. Really use to do and easier than using ink. I will treasure this forever!

7500 miles away… I have a bit of my Grandson with me always <3 Perfect
My beautiful new grandson lives in Japan and I won’t be seeing him often and so I saw these little hand & footprint frames and decided because of the mixed reviews, I would buy three just in case and bring them with me. I did write Julie (owner) and ask her for advice, as I thought it was human error (the negative reviews) and didn’t want to mess it up. I followed the instructions exactly and did not deviate. We were able to make two of them and the third my DIL can use whenever she wants. They will be here in December (6 months old) and I will make another and then when I go back for his 1st birthday, we will make another and probably until his hands and feet are too big for the frame. You might notice a slight crack by his hand. This was definitely my doing and I chose not to fix it with the extra clay. I just didn’t want to mess with a near perfect impression and put Noah through it. The one I left in Japan is 100% perfect without a crack… I wanted her to have that one. I want to thank you Julie for providing this very long distance Baba (grandma) this product. I will remember Noah’s first month birthday and the feel of his little body as we made the impressions.

    Turned out AMAZING Tips below
This turned out perfect!! The photo is the finished dried product! I was skeptical because of all the bad reviews about cracking but had no issues at all! Crossed out babies name for privacy reasons. TIPS: Followed directions on the video link that came in box. I kneaded the clay for 10mins it’s warm weather where I am so clay pretty sticky but the more it’s kneaded the better it gets. I then used my palm to spread to corners and then a coffee mug to smooth out the palm prints. Make sure baby is asleep it makes it much easier. (This may seem weird but…) After I did the prints and letters I could kind of tell where the cracks would form if any. Look for the spots that are not smooth looking or has little holes/ impressions. I just licked my finger (could use water if you want but I was scared that it would get too wet and then rubbed out those spots before it dried). Only thing I didn’t follow from directions was placing in direct sunlight. I just set it in my kitchen and dried with 2-3 days. Hope this helps! Definitely recommend!

    Works great for pets!
I purchased this kit as an anniversary present for my wife so she could keep impression paw prints of her baby which happens to be a cat. It works great for that. It was easy to use (we got impressions of all four paws in the frame) and she loves the look of it. Overall, I didn’t find any flaws with this product and highly recommend it to anyone with children or pets. 5/5 starsIf you found this review helpful, please show some love by clicking the “Yes” button below. What a sweet keepsake!
I love this! But I do have some thoughts and tips if you’re doing this with a baby. First, make sure your baby is asleep! I attempted to do this with a newborn who was awake and he would just not keep his hand open long enough for a print. So we waited for him to fall asleep, but the clay had started to dry a bit so it didn’t work as well with his hand prints. And he still wanted to close his hand a bit even while sleeping, so you can tell he’s grabbing the clay and digging in his fingers in the print…but that’s okay!Second (and this was sort of covered in my first suggestion), work quickly! The clay does take a long time to completely dry out, but it does start to dry out a bit on the surface and then starts to look a bit dry when you do the print if you don’t work quickly enough.Third, use your dry fingertips to lightly brush the surface before putting the hand or foot print on the clay. I had a very difficult time evening out all the bumps with a rolling pin, but I discovered that lightly brushing with my fingertips made the surface look much nicer!Fourth, don’t try to do this alone if you’re getting baby prints. We needed at least two people to do it. One to hold the baby, one to hold the frame/clay. And maybe even a third to push the hand or foot into the clay.We decided since he’s so tiny, that there was enough room for both feet and both hands, so we did that. I’m glad we did, but with each print, you displace some of the clay, so we have ripples around the prints from all the displaced clay. I’m okay with that because I like having all four, but be aware that will happen if you attempt to do more like we did. I’m so glad we have this special keepsake. It looks great and I can’t wait to get the perfect photos in there to go with them.
